Seismic-Acoustic Search and Rescue Device for Trapped Survivors

SAR-3

SAR-3

The SAR-3 Under-Rubble Seismic-Acoustic Search and Rescue Device has been developed to support the detection of potential sounds and vibrations generated by people trapped beneath rubble during earthquakes and similar disasters. Its three-sensor detection system enables the evaluation of signals collected from different points across the debris, helping search and rescue teams conduct more targeted and effective scanning operations.

Overview

SAR-3 Life Detection Device – Following the Sound of Life

SAR-3 (Search & Rescue) instantly converts faint vibrations in the ground into clear signals, helping search and rescue teams reach disaster victims faster.

Key Features

  • Sustained high performance
  • High-resolution detection
  • Design built for harsh field conditions
  • Rapid deployment

Technical specifications

The control unit is built to withstand harsh field conditions with IP68 dust and liquid protection; it charges in approximately 2 hours and runs for approximately 3-8 hours, depending on the number of active sensors. The seismic sensor unit measures across a wide frequency range of 5 Hz - 5 kHz and uses a 50 Hz notch filter to suppress electrical noise. The communication unit delivers clear, uninterrupted voice communication with its 4 W speaker and sensitive microphone. All units are IP68 protected.
